Christianity and Love
Love always was the main inspiration and motive of countless stories and works of art throughout the history. Christianity sees God as the source of all love. The verse “Love thy neighbor as yourself” not only refers to our actions, but also to our thoughts and inner world. As we were created in God’s image, we must share the love.
“…to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices”.
Love indeed is a supreme value. While hatred could ruin the world, only love would heal
and fix it. Love might come easy sometimes, but the true challenge is to love and be compassionate towards everyone, including through times of sorrow, obstacles and difficulties. Like ripples upon the water, love spreads from your inner circle and then outwards to bigger circles, such as family, friends, neighbors and your community. Love can’t wait. Share your love with the ones who need it most. Be patient and compassionate. You will notice that love grows.
“May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else.” (1 Tessalonians 3:12).
Love is to will the good of another. To show you care. To make someone feel important, special and significant. Galilee 33 Christian gift baskets are made with love, and contain the finest products grown by Christian families from the Galilee, where Jesus lived and taught. Galilee33’s gift baskets could be the perfect reminder to your loved ones, of your deepest feelings of gratitude, appreciation, and of course – love.
“Dear friends, let us love one another for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love”.
(1 John 4:7-8).
